Common problems of laser cutting plate and its effective solutions
Laser cutting is widely used in automobile manufacturing and material processing due to its high precision, wide cutting range, high efficiency, strong processing capability and good flexibility.
In the laser cutting process, there will be some problems which seem simple but very deadly. Now we have prepared several common problems and solutions for everyone, hoping to help everyone.
1. Burr on the edge of workpiece
Laser cutting carbon steel, sometimes burrs on the edge of the workpiece, making the surface appear unsmooth.Some are difficult to remove due to the following principle reasons:
- The upper and lower positions of laser focus are not correct.It is necessary to implment the focus position test and then adjust according to the offset of the focus;
- The nozzle is improper and replaced;
- The purity and pressure of the cutting gas are insufficient, it is necessary to provide high-quality cutting working gas and increase the pressure;
- If the quadrilateral is cut, the adjacent two sides will have burrs, indicating that the center of the optical path is offset, and the center point of the optical path from the nozzle should be re-teaching;if there are burrs on the two sides of the parallel, the laser head is mounted to There is a problem with the verticality of the machine.The verticality of the laser head can be taught base on the burr direction of the parallel side.Please check whether the roundness of the nozzlehas changed. It must be ensured that the roundness of the nozzle is a full circle.
2. Laser cutting plates can not be cut through
There are many reasons why the template can't be cut. The most common ones are:
- The power of the laser is reduced or the lamp is aging, so that the energy of the laser beam is not enough, and the sample plate is not cut. Need to adjust the laser power to replace the laser generator lamp;
- The cutting speed is too fast, it should be decided according to the thickness for a suitable cutting speed;
- Check whether the output pressure of the proportional valve is consistent with the cutting pressure setting by the upper computer, and the oxygen meter is at the indication of 10 kg;
- Check the protective lens. If it is damaged then replace it;
- The focus position is not suitable, the focus position is adjusted according to the type of sheet thickness;
- Under the premise of protecting the lens and cutting speed and air pressure, check whether there is any problem with the fiber interface. If there is no problem with the fiber interface, please check the collimator lens and the focusing lens of the laser cutting head for damage. If so, please replace it in time.
2. Laser cutting plate surface rough
For carbon steel:
Too rough the upper surface texture indicates that the cutting focus is too far from the sheet, the focus needs to be adjusted closer;Too rough the lower surface indicates that the cutting gas pressure is too large. Reduce the gas cutting pressure;Too rough the overall grain indicates that the cutting speed is too slow. increase the cutting speed.
